Darren has over 30 year’s experience in the Insurance Industry and started his career joining Eagle Star (now Zurich) from University. He moved into the Broking Industry in 1997 and has held Senior Roles across some of the largest Brokers in the UK,  latterly as Regional Sales Director for Towergate and Managing Director at Lorica Insurance in Leeds.

In 2015 Darren set up Paterson Insurance Brokers and has overseen it’s growth in the last 5 years with the establishment of servicing office in Wakefield and an Appointed Representative Office in Hull. In this period the business has offered advice to all sectors of industry, become Premier Members of Broker Network and surpassed £8m in Premium Placement in 2020.

Away from work Darren enjoys hitting the hills, keeping fit and relaxing with friends and family.

Mark brings to the table over 30 years of industry experience, he takes pride in the industry and his promise to delivering expert advice is unmatched, ensuring that our clients receive the best-in-class service. He has held senior positions with the insurance broking industry and has built long standing relationships along the way with both Insurers and Clients. 

At the core of Mark's attitude is putting clients first. He believes in making the expertise and experience of our staff readily available to provide clients with the exceptional service they both need and expect.

Outside of work, Mark is a family man with a passion for community engagement. You might find him spending quality time with his loved ones or coaching local sports teams.

Jordan is a Senior Broker with a primary focus on growing and strengthening the relationships between our valued clients and trusted insurance partners. With a deep-rooted passion for insurance, Jordan is on a mission to not only maintain and expand our existing client base but also to warmly welcome new customers into our business.

With over 12 years in the insurance industry, Jordan is passionate about helping clients navigate the complex world of insurance. His mission is to ensure that every client, whether they're a long-standing client or a new addition, receives unmatched care and attention.

Beyond the boardroom, he is a through and through family person. Quality time with his partner and two young children is where he finds the greatest happiness and motivation.

When Jordan isn’t occupied in the world of insurance, you'll find him indulging in his passion for cars. As a massive car enthusiast, he loves to explore the latest automotive innovations and tinkering away on his own vehicle.

Julie started her journey in the insurance industry back in 1985, beginning her career at a small brokerage. By 1987, she transitioned to Sun Alliance, where she adeptly handled both Personal and Commercial Lines. Despite facing the challenge of redundancy in 2007, Julie remained resilient, joining Aviva to specialize in Commercial Lines, particularly in Motor Trade. However, another redundancy in 2019 led her to pivot once more. Since March 2020, Julie has found her stride as an Account Handler, devotedly serving both existing clients and new prospects. Outside the realm of insurance, Julie finds joy in pursuing her passions for baking and cake decorating. These creative outlets provide her with a delightful balance to her professional endeavours, allowing her to express her talents.

Bethany is an apprentice insurance broker who is enthusiastic about assisting both new and existing clients to the best of her abilities! Although she's relatively new to the industry, Bethany's dedication shines through as she consistently strives to ensure that every client, whether they're newcomers or long-standing partners, receives a policy that is perfectly tailored to their unique needs and requirements.

Beyond the confines of the office, Bethany leads a vibrant life. When she's not immersed in the world of insurance, you're likely to find her hitting the gym, cherishing quality moments with her family and her beloved small dog, or indulging in her passion for travel. Exploring new destinations ignites her spirit, allowing her to discover diverse cultures and experiences that fuel her enthusiasm for life.

Carl is a seasoned insurance professional with a diverse background. He began his career at Direct Line Insurance, quickly mastering risk assessment and client management in motor sales and underwriting. His expertise grew further at Rural Insurance, where he specialized as a motor and farm underwriter, tailoring bespoke solutions to meet each client's unique needs.

Transitioning to Gallaghers, Carl managed scheme accounts, solidifying his reputation for building strong client relationships. At Tradex Insurance and Gauntlet Group, he continued his dedication to personalized service as a private hire account executive and account executive, respectively.

Passionate about fostering meaningful connections, Carl provides top-notch service and meticulous attention to detail. Beyond the office, he cherishes spending quality time with his daughter, exploring new destinations, and attending record fairs. Despite the occasional noise complaints from neighbours, Carl indulges his love for music by playing the drums and immersing himself in the vibrant atmosphere of gigs and concerts.
