Jordan Davey

Jordan has been in the Insurance industry for over 8 years and over that period has established great relationships with clients and other insurance professionals. His key focus is developing/growing our new business across various sectors and trades.

When he has some spare time Jordan likes to spend it with his partner and 2 dogs by going out for long walks.

He is also a keen car enthusiast and loves a craft beer with his friends at the local pub.

Janice Taylor
Accounts and Systems

Janice started working in the Insurance Broking industry straight from school and over the years dealt with Claims, Broking Personal Lines,  SME & Commercial Lines gaining experience in all areas of insurance broking.  This included a period of seven years as a Systems Manager responsible for IT infrastructure, Training and Accounts Month End & Troubleshooting.

Away from work Janice is currently the Secretary of the Inner Wheel Club of Wakefield and also enjoys gardening and travelling.

Julie Gregg
Account Handler

Julie started on the insurance path in 1985 working in a small brokerage before moving to Sun Alliance in 1987 dealing with both Personal and Commercial Lines.  Having been made redundant in 2007 she moved to Aviva dealing with Commercial Lines, mainly Motor Trade until again being made redundant in 2019.  Since March 2020 she has been working as an Account Handler dealing with existing and new customers.

Outside of work Julie enjoys baking and cake decorating.

David Allen
Broking Manager

David has over 30 year’s experience in the Insurance Industry and began his career in 1989 and had various Managerial Roles with Swinton, One Call and Norwich Union Direct (now Aviva) where he managed a team of 18 staff within the business helping coaching staff to work towards sales and delivering an excellent customer service. In 2009 David decided to move into broking and joined Dobson & Hodge Ltd in their commercial department where he dealt with any new business, renewal and claims enquiries and dealt with the major clients within the business.

In 2020 David joined Paterson Insurance Brokers working closely within the team to service existing clients and help market new cases and deal with any day to day issues.

In his spare time he enjoys DJ’ing and spending time with his wife going to restaurants and socialising

Darren Paterson
Managing Director

Darren has over 30 year’s experience in the Insurance Industry and started his career joining Eagle Star (now Zurich) from University. He moved into the Broking Industry in 1997 and has held Senior Roles across some of the largest Brokers in the,  latterly as Regional Sales Director for Towergate and Managing Director at Lorica Insurance in Leeds.

In 2015 Darren set up Paterson Insurance Brokers and has overseen it’s growth in the last 5 years with the establishment of servicing office in Wakefield and an Appointed Representative Office in Hull. In this period the business has offered advice to all sectors of industry, become Premier Members of Broker Network and surpassed £8m in Premium Placement in 2020.

Away from work Darren enjoys hitting the hills, keeping fit and relaxing with friends and family.
